The Factory

Pones Inc. Laboratory of Movement

A multidimensional experience that focuses on gender-related issues.

SHOW DESCRIPTION

The Factory is a multidimensional experience that incorporates dance, music, theater, installations, and audience involvement. Blending environmental and experimental theater with an original script and choreography, The Factory focuses on gender-related issues inspired by lingering stereotypes and experiences that continue to affect us as women today. Throughout The Factory the audience is led on a guided tour of an entire created world where the barrier between audience and performer is constantly changing. After stepping outside The Factory, audiences may find that the hilarious world they are leaving isn’t all that different from the one we currently live in.

'AND THE FRINGIEST PART IS ...'

This show travels to several locations throughout one building and examines our attitudes and actions (specifically toward women) and displays them in an electrified yet honest portrayal. The entanglement of dance, spoken word, and the audience's immediate response to the world they are exploring fuels the experience.
