Southwest Ohio Society of Badasses

This Ain't Real Theatre Company

Coming of age in the cornfields of Southwest Ohio.

SHOW DESCRIPTION

Southwest Ohio Society of Badasses is an original performance piece written by a Southwest Ohio native. It’s a little edgy, a little angry, and even sometimes funny. The memories which make up the play come from the central character’s (Bud's) teen years, which took place the 1970s, that glorious decade of disco, dysfunction, and deliberate disregard for decorum. Southwest Ohio Society of Badasses is a celebration and a warning about what happens when rednecks, alcohol, religion and guns are the key elements in a young man’s upbringing --- and maybe even a tale about how we do eventually "get over it."
