Colored by a moment. Tinted by a touch. Mothers model. Lovers sculpt. History cuts into our collective consciousness. Fusing fiction and documented interviews, text and movement, White Beard Productions creates a shifting collage of human experience and reaction to the moments that paint the rest of our lives.
ARTIST/COMPANY BIOGRAPHY
White Beard productions began in the winter of 2007 when Michael Burnham and Kendall Karg produced Proof at CCM, and later, began work on My Name is Rachel Corrie. This year, Karg paired with Dione Hardin and Alison Vodnoy to begin work on Painted. Interviewing and videotaping and taking photographs while writing their own stories began the creation out on its first few feet, and they've continued going to create this theater-movement-art-installation whirlwind of Paint. Kendall and Alison both recently graduated from CCM in Dramatic Performance in 2009, and Dione will receive her degree in 2010.
'AND THE FRINGIEST PART IS ...'
The actors within this show will actually be painting one another with the colors of their experiences. People want to see this show because we need to remind ourselves what it is we're coloring our world and our co-inhabitants with...and that's what PAINTing is all about.
