SHOW DESCRIPTION

Learn the best way to treat a twisted ankle in "Witch Doctor." Watch the narrator utterly fail at love and romance in "There Are No Lesbians Here." Visit Nicaragua, Ethiopia and Germany - and explore how the worst culture shock can sometimes happen in the place you come from.

After using the word 'home' to describe, at one time or another, three continents and four U.S. states, Twin Cities writer/performer and journalist, Katherine Glover, brings together a mishmash of true stories in this dynamic and funny one-woman show.

"Thought-provoking, funny and tender." - Fresno Beehive

"History lessons blended with cultural insight and funny chance encounters... an energetic performance that brought out Glover's sarcasm, wit and knack for storytelling." -St. Paul Pioneer Press

ARTIST/COMPANY BIOGRAPHY

Katherine Glover is a freelance writer, performer and journalist from the Twin Cities. She "retired" from theater in 1999, but after years of involvement in the storytelling and spoken word scenes, she's managed to sneak in again through the back door by creating this solo show. On her other career paths, she's worked for the Associated Press in Buenos Aires, taught English in Nicaragua, and written for Salon.com about the politics of gay hobbit marriage online. Her website is katherineglover.net.

'AND THE FRINGIEST PART IS ...'

Well, aside from the excellent stories in the show description, you get to hear Bryan Adams singing "Everything I Do, I Do it For You" in Spanish. How can anyone turn that down? And if you stick around after the show, you might even catch Bon Jovi's "Cama de Rosas" while I'm taking my set down.
