SHOW DESCRIPTION

A suicide; characters connected in ways foreseen and ways unexpected. Communication as a matter of perspective . . . treading uncertainly through the gulf, the rip, the KAZ/m.

KAZ/m follows the reverberations and repercussions of a suicide and how the act shreds the veneer of communication as safe and effective. In this day of information overload and virtual reality, how do we know if our narrative is our own or created by anonymous authors?

ARTIST/COMPANY BIOGRAPHY

Performance Gallery is creating a new work using the elements of Meta-Fiction transposed to the stage to explore the questions of communication and how, can we know what we know is remotely close to the truth. This collaborative project will feature overlapping narratives and points of view happening simultaneously to follow the jumble of impressions left when one person unexpectedly commits suicide.

The Performance Gallery, with its ensemble approach, is currently in the process of developing this play featuring multiple characters and many layered storylines where even the act of storytelling is questioned. KAZ/m is the next step in our continued exploration of the quirky and murky that started with Deadlines and the Fringe productions, The Killer Whispers and Prays, godsplay, and girlfight.

'AND THE FRINGIEST PART IS ...'

Fresh perspective on storytelling as in, watch us struggle to figure out how to tell one. All participants are certifiably insane. Any one of us may off ourselves during the run of the Fringe. If you are looking for theatrical expression presented without a clue, you'll love us.
