Eastbound Jungle

Ornamental Messiah Productions

Death, guilt, and paranoia fracture a small community of hobos.

SHOW DESCRIPTION

Eastbound Jungle follows a group of hobos depending only on each other to survive their travels. This small society is forever fractured with the accidental death of one of their own. Guilt, anger, and paranoia run rampant as they deal with the repercussions. Their patriarchal leader seeks to preserve the peace and camaraderie of the community as a manipulative parasite plays on that fear using it to get what she wants. As a battle of will rages, dark revelations lead to a tragic climax. Eastbound Jungle explores themes of freedom, guilt, and justice in a world set just on the outskirts of our own.

ARTIST/COMPANY BIOGRAPHY

Ornamental Messiah seeks to create artistic responses to the reality of dealing with human problems in a human world. We seek to create multi-layered works that can express idea and concept without neglecting craft. Examinations of culture, perception, and the triviality of modern life permeate our endeavors. Our only prerequisite is a willing and open-minded audience.

PREVIOUS FRINGES

Fringe virgin.

'AND THE FRINGIEST PART IS ...'

Set on the “fringe” of our own world, these characters are people that have decided to break away from societies constraints to find a purer form of freedom than our world allows in a dark story heavily influenced by Shakespeare, Greek, and Eastern Philosophies.
