Maximum security, minimum protection. How would you cope in prison?
The creators of Cincy Fringe hits THE WAVE, and NOTHING, present the true events of Whitney Smith; a young non-violent criminal writing an award-nominated blog from inside the walls of a maximum-security prison. Caged with America's most violent convicts, Whit's sober insight and self-deprecating humor aid in coping with the anguish of institutionalization. Influenced by Bill Watterson (Calvin & Hobbes), reflections on prison reform have never been illustrated so "wittily."
Dedicated to making a positive change through the arts, education, and community service, Unity Productions began in April of 2011. Since then, Unity has toured to national theatre festivals (SETC/New Orleans/San Diego/Cincy Fringe), Universities (Wisconsin/Indiana/Miami), and high schools throughout Greater Cincinnati. Their previous award-winning productions (NOTHING and THE WAVE) are available for hire, and you can find more at www.UnityProductionsOhio.weebly.com.
