Maximum security, minimum protection. How would you cope in prison?

The creators of Cincy Fringe hits THE WAVE, and NOTHING, present the true events of Whitney Smith; a young non-violent criminal writing an award-nominated blog from inside the walls of a maximum-security prison. Caged with America's most violent convicts, Whit's sober insight and self-deprecating humor aid in coping with the anguish of institutionalization. Influenced by Bill Watterson (Calvin & Hobbes), reflections on prison reform have never been illustrated so "wittily."

Dedicated to making a positive change through the arts, education, and community service, Unity Productions began in April of 2011. Since then, Unity has toured to national theatre festivals (SETC/New Orleans/San Diego/Cincy Fringe), Universities (Wisconsin/Indiana/Miami), and high schools throughout Greater Cincinnati. Their previous award-winning productions (NOTHING and THE WAVE) are available for hire, and you can find more at www.UnityProductionsOhio.weebly.com.

    The cast and crew of [Frankenstein] is so happy to be Fringe-ing once again with the awesome Unity Productions. Unity does incredibly strong work and we will definitely be seeing Blogging Behind Bars.

    how to gain weight

    I know this if off topic but I’m looking into starting my own weblog and was curious what all is required to get set up? I’m assuming having a blog like yours would cost a pretty penny? I’m not very internet savvy so I’m not 100% sure. Any tips or advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

      Thanks for your support, but I think you are little confused. BLOGGING BEHIND BARS is a production happening in the Cincinnati Fringe Festival. A true story about a young man who wrote a blog while in a maximum-security prison. As a writer this would probably be right up your alley. We would love to see you at one of the shows if you are still interested: http://bit.ly/1iLW9wp

    Please let me know if you’re looking for a author for your weblog. You have some really great articles and I believe I would be a good asset. If you ever want to take some of the load off, I’d really like to write some articles for your blog in exchange for a link back to mine. Please send me an email if interested. Kudos!

    My rating system is:
    1 = Sorry I saw it
    2 = Glad I saw it
    3 = I recommend it
    4 = I would gladly see it again
    Also: Fringy = unusual; Fringier = weird; Fringiest = uniquely weird

    BLOGGING BEHIND BARS
    Randy 2.5, Ross 3, Suzana 2.5, Klara 3.5
    Let me say this is very good theater with an important message. The reasons I am not giving it an unqualified recommendation are: technically the visual and auditory were difficult (it may have been the venue and my seat), and, the ending, which should have been crystal clear, was ambiguous. Otherwise, this play puts human faces on the many of our fellow citizens that are being forgotten and/or destroyed by our prison system. The acting and writing are excellent. The story held our interest completely.
